Music and movies will fill Assiniboine Park over the next few weeks with the 2011 Summer Arts and Entertainment Series.
Lyric Stage will host movie night every Friday beginning in August, with feature films playing on the giant, 27-foot LED screen. The double-features will include such flicks as “Happy Feet” and “Ice Age 2.” Showtimes will be 7 p.m. and 9:15 p.m.
Jazz music will fill the Leo Mol Sculpture Garden during the Smooth Sundays Jazz Series at 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. until the end of August, with acts like Walle Larsson, the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra and Ron Paley.
