Winnipeg Rowing Club (HANDOUT)
Now that the river water has subsided and is no longer threatening its facility, the Winnipeg Rowing Club can breathe a sigh of relief when it holds its open house this weekend.
The club is inviting the public out on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. for its annual open house at 20 Lyndale Drive.
The WRC offers rowing programs for all ages and skill levels. It’s a chance to tour the facilities, learn about indoor training, check out the boats and boathouse, watch rowers in action, and even try out some ‘dockside’ rowing.
Members at the 130-year-old non-profit club range in age from 13 to 85.
