Rihanna’s Loud Tour lived up to its name Saturday, as 12,000 screaming fans packed Winnipeg’s MTS Centre to see the pop superstar perform.
The 23-year-old from Barbados hit the stage shortly after 9 p.m., following her opening acts J. Cole and Cee Lo Green.
Rihanna and her dancers kept the energy flowing all night, as she took brief breaks between songs to talk to the audience. “Winnipeg, you came to party tonight,” she said, moments before singing her hit Unfaithful. “It’s always been my dream to travel all over the world and party, and have people in all parts of the world hear my music.”
Rihanna will be in Toronto tonight for the 2011 MuchMusic Video Awards.
