When you head to Thursday night’s Winnipeg Blue Bombers pre-season game at Canad Inns Stadium, don’t forget to bring a tin for the bin.

Winnipeg Harvest will be collecting food donations again this year to fight hunger in Manitoba.

Donations to the food bank are generally slower in the summer, as many people go on vacation and don’t think about making a donation.

Winnipeg Harvest will be at every home game this season collecting non-perishable food and cash donations to help feed the more than 57,000 Manitobans who rely on them each month.

The most wanted items needed are canned fish, canned fruit, canned stew, peanut butter, baby food, rice, canned spaghetti sauce or tomatoes, cereal and canned soup.

The Blue Bombers face the Toronto Argonauts at 7 p.m.
