The Osborne Village Biz will start its Canada Day festivities one day early with musicians, artisans and food vendors filling Osborne Street from River Avenue to McMillan.

The annual celebration will run June 30 and July 1, and include the Latin Sizzlers, Trio Bembe, singer-songwriter Rambling Dan Frechette, Celtic Punkers, the Dust Rhinos and the JD Edwards Band.

For the younger crowd, there will be games, balloon sculptors and face painting. Nafro Dance Cooperative will be offering fast-paced Zumba workouts and demonstrations as well.

A flag raising ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. on July 1, then at 11 p.m. organizers will encourage everyone on the street to collectively sing O Canada.

Admission is free.
