Winnipeg’s new NHL team will play the Columbia Blue Jackets in a split series as part of their first pre-season game.
True North Sports and Entertainment announced the seven-game 2011 NHL pre-season schedule on Thursday.
The unnamed franchise will play four out of seven games on the road before officially beginning their season October 9 against the Montreal Canadiens at MTS Centre.

September 25 — @ Carolina Hurricanes at Time Warner Cable Arena — 4 p.m.

September 28 — Carolina Hurricanes at MTS Centre — 7:30 p.m.
September 30 — Nashville Predators at MTS Centre — 7:30 p.m.
