A local family-owned industrial finishing company will create up to 20 new jobs as part of its 30,000 square-foot facility expansion.
Superior Finishes, Inc. will be assisted by an $800,000 Manitoba Industrial Opportunities Program (MIOP) loan from the province as part of a deal arranged by Yes! Winnipeg. The company will invest approximately $3 million this year, allowing for several new technical positions.
“The expansion of Superior Finishes will certainly be a major local success story in helping create new jobs in the local market,” said Bill Morrissey, leader of Yes! Winnipeg, a business development initiative of Economic Development Winnipeg Inc. “This expansion will see the further development of the manufacturing industry in the city.”
The expansion will be formally announced during a news conference at 1205 Sherwin Road Monday morning.
