A collection of duplicate works from famed artist Leonardo Da Vinci will stop in Winnipeg later this summer as part of a travelling exhibition.
Da Vinci — The Genius will run at MTS Centre Exhibition Hall from August 19 to October 23.
The exhibition — 10 years in the making — features vast array of full-scale machine inventions crafted from Da Vinci’s personal codices (notebooks), as well as reproductions of his most famous Renaissance art, including the Mona Lisa, Virgin of the Rocks, and The Annunciation, amazing anatomical sketches and more.
The exhibition’s hours will be Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster for $19.95 for adults, $15.95 for students up to 18 with a valid student card, $12.95 for children 12 and under, and $10.95 for schools/groups.
