A one-of-a-kind book featuring the writing from 12 new Canadians from 11 different countries will be launched tonight.
The Past is Another Country includes works from participants of the Finding Your Voice writing program for new Canadians offered by the Millennium Library. The contributing authors share the experience of being a newcomer in a new city and a desire to share stories that matter to them.
The book launch is scheduled for 7 p.m. in the Carol Shields Auditorium at the Millennium Library.
Copies of the book will be available for borrowing from the library.
