Blue Bombers Add Seven to Practice Roster

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers added the following players to their practice roster on Monday:

Non-import offensive lineman Brendan Dunn
Import running back Alex Henderson
Import defensive lineman Kenny Mainor
Import defensive lineman Bryant Turner
Import defensive back Arrington Hicks
Import quarterback Brandon Summers
Non-import defensive back Jason Nugent

The Blue Bombers open their 2011 season on Friday, July 1 in Hamilton,  before returning home to host Toronto on July 8.

In related football news, five former Manitoba Bison players have made it on to CFL rosters.

Eddie Steele (Hamilton Tiger-Cats), Cory Huclack (Saskatchewan Roughriders), Wes Lysack (Toronto Argonauts), Brady Browne (Winnipeg Blue Bombers) and Don Oramasionwu (Winnipeg Blue Bombers) are all suiting up with CFL teams this season.

“It is always an exciting time of the year when a new CFL season begins and we see to impact of former Bisons on several CFL rosters,” Bison Football head coach Brian Dobie said in a statement. “I am proud that these five players will be in the CFL again this season and two former Bisons have made the 2011 roster of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.”
