The Manitoba Museum will be bustling on Friday, July 1, as it celebrates Canada Day by offering free admission to children under 12 who wear red or white.
The museum will be celebrating the country’s birthday with the new Reeds and Wool exhibit, and the popular Laser Shows exhibit.
Reeds and Wool offers visitors of all ages a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see the decorative reed screens made by Kyrgyz women. The exhibit is free with any museum admission, including the Planetarium and Science Gallery.
An afternoon of Laser Shows are planned with A Brief Mystery of Time at noon, and the Beatles matinee at 3 p.m. In the evening, the Planetarium will show Radiohead at 7:30 p.m., Beatles Anthology at 8:45 p.m., Pink Floyd The Wall at 10 p.m. and Daft Punk at 11:15 p.m.
