The Winnipeg Goldeyes on Tuesday signed rookie outfielder Ridge Carpenter.

The 22-year-old Hawaii native recently completed his senior season at Cal State Northridge, where he hit .304 with 10 doubles, four triples, four home runs and 21 RBI in 55 games. He also showed his speed with four triples and 16 stolen bases with the Matadors.

Carpenter was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the 32nd Round of the 2007 MLB amateur draft out of high school, but did not sign.

The Goldeyes now have 21 active players on their roster, where they will play Kansas City on the road today and Thursday.
