The Royal Canadian Mint will be one of the popular spots to be on Friday, as thousands of Winnipeggers celebrate Canada Day.

From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Mint will be offering a number of activities to keep the whole family busy.

The first 3,500 visitors will receive a Canada Day pin marking the Mint’s 35th anniversary.

A BBQ lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., while the Manitoba Drag Racer’s Association shows off some of their finest drag racing cars in Manitoba.

All on-site activities at 520 Lagimodiere Boulevard are free of charge.
