Hockey Manitoba will hold its 2011 Coach Camp from August 9 to 14 in Winnipeg — a special development event to increase and promote the various opportunities for coaches.

The second annual camp will feature the Hockey Hot Stove on Friday, August 12, which is an open forum for the hockey community to hear expert opinions along with the opportunity to interact with our special guest panel on the topics of athlete and coach development.

Participants can choose from three different Coach Camp options, along with technical coach training.

Former NHL and 3-time IIHF World Champion head coach Andy Murray from Souris will be recognized as the Honourary Head Coach of the 2011 Coach Camp. Murray will be joined by other professional coaches who are giving back to the program such as Claude Noel of the Winnipeg Jets, Ralph Krueger of the Edmonton Oilers and scout Dave Allison of the Pittsburgh Penguins. Markus Graf, head of development with the Swiss Ice Hockey Association, will also be in attendance.

Interested hockey coaches can register at HockeyManitoba.ca.
