Facebook is expected to announce a Skype-powered video chat feature to its website this week.
According to numerous tech blogs, the social media powerhouse has partnered with Skype to integrate video chat capabilities after rumours about such an add-on surfaced about a year ago.
The video chat platform was apparently designed by Facebook’s much smaller team based in Seattle, as opposed at its headquarters in California.
Last week, Google launched its own social network called Google+, where it plans to have a video chat feature of its own called Hangouts.
