Cougar Spotted in Transcona

Winnipeg police are warning the public about a possible cougar sighting in the city.

The unconfirmed sighting was reported Saturday at about 8:10 a.m. in the area of Fermor Avenue, east of Lagimodiere Boulevard and west of Plessis Road.

The animal was spotted by several people before it fled, heading northeast toward CN’s Symington Yard.

A search by police has been unable to locate the cougar.
