Missed your chance for season Jets tickets? CAA Manitoba is coming to the rescue of diehard sports fans who were shut out.

The automobile association’s travel arm, CAA Travel, is putting together a tour package for fans to catch the Winnipeg Jets on the road for the 2011-12 season.

Fans will be able to travel to Phoenix to watch the Jets face off against the Coyotes in their home opener on October 15.

“We know every time the Jets play in Winnipeg, the MTS Centre will be bursting at the seams,” said CAA spokesperson Liz Peters. “For all of those people who didn’t get tickets in Winnipeg, CAA Travel has an economical option for you to be in the stands while the Jets are on the road.”

The weekend hockey package will depart from Winnipeg on Friday October 14, and includes all airfare, accommodations, ground transfers and game tickets. Add on excursions like golf and shopping trips will also be available with the package.

Depending on how well received the response is from fans, CAA says they may offer other trips to Jets road games.

Fans interested in the tour can call (204) 262-6000 or 1-800-992-8143.
