Toddlers will be racing each other this Saturday at Kildonan Place Shopping Centre. Whether they realize it’s actually a race and not just a fun time is another story.
KP’s Four On The Floor baby crawl will pit toddlers against each other to see who is the speediest. The tots will be racing for fun and prizes to celebrate the mall’s newest family-friendly amenity.
The event launches the mall’s Kid Protector devices — a two-piece electronic device that will warn parents if their little one wanders off. The child wears a Panda-shaped bracelet transmitter while parents or guardians have a clip-on receiver that will beep if the child wanders away. The monitors can be set to have a radius between one and seven metres.
The devices will be available for sign out on July 16 at Guest Services and are free for My KP Family members.
Entry forms for the baby races (up to 12 months of age) are available at the mall or at KildonanPlace.com. Entries are limited to the first 50 forms received before July 15. The race begins at noon.
