RCMP say shortly after midnight Thursday morning, a 2001 GMC 1500 pickup rear-ended a westbound semi at the corner of Highway 3 and 23 in the RM of Roland. The area is commonly referred to as “Jordan’s Corner.”

A three-year-old girl in the cab of the pickup truck was not injured, but the driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. The man driving the semi didn’t suffer any injuries in the accident.

Both the driver and the child in the pickup were wearing seatbelts at the time.

Alcohol, weather or road conditions are not considered factors in the crash.
