Quilted blocks will be used as the canvas during a special Kids Quilt of Belonging contest at the Winnipeg Art Gallery next month.
The WAG is inviting youngsters 12 and under to decorate a quilt block to represent who they are. It could be anything from drawing their family, to portraying their favourite place.
The contest stems from the current Quilt of Belonging hanging in the WAG’s foyer, representing the different nationalities that call Canada home.
To find out how to enter, visit WAG.ca. A winner will be randomly selection on August 21 and receive a WAG family membership for one year, a WAG kids’ T-shirt, and a copy of the Quilt of Belonging children’s book.
