A teen dives off the railing of a pier in Falcon Lake, Manitoba on Saturday to cool off. The temperature yesterday climbed to a sweltering 34.4°C in Winnipeg -- the hottest place in the country -- with nearly equally as hot digits in the Whiteshell east of the city. Keep the fluids nearby, as today's projected high is 33°C. Environment Canada says with the humidex it will feel more like 36°C. The heat wave is expected to last well into next week. Not that anyone is complaining. Those chilly winter days will come soon enough. Time to soak it all in. (CHRISD.CA)
