Man Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash in St. Andrews

A two-vehicle collision Sunday afternoon in the RM of St. Andrews has killed a 71-year-old man.

RCMP say the crash happened at about 4 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 8 and PR 230.

A 1999 Buick was travelling westbound on PR 230 when it collided with a 2002 Audi heading northbound on Highway 8. The intersection is controlled by a stop sign.

The driver and lone occupant of the Buick from the RM of North Norfolk was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Four people were in the Audi and ranged in age from 14- to 20-years-old. Three of the occupants were taken to hospital with undetermined injuries.

Police are continuing to investigate.

The name of the deceased isn’t being released.
