Flooding may not be on the minds of most Manitobans, but for the Canadian Red Cross, it’s still very much in the forefront.

The Red Cross estimates that more than 2,700 households will need some level of assistance, but that number could still rise. Of those, 200 may have major damage. Many residents can’t yet access their properties to assess the damage until water levels recede.

To date, the Red Cross has received more than $500,000 to support Manitobans affected by flooding, but more help is still needed.

Canadians wishing to support the Canadian Red Cross Manitoba Floods Response efforts are encouraged to contribute by calling 1-800-418-1111 or by donating through RedCross.ca.
