The Winnipeg Blue Bombers will honour assistant head coach and DL coach Richard Harris at Thursday’s home game.
Harris passed away Tuesday afternoon after suffering a heart attack in his office at Canad Inns Stadium. He was 63.
The Bombers will wear “RH” stickers on their helmets when they face the B.C. Lions. There will also be a moment of silence and a video tribute to Coach Harris prior to kickoff.
“There is not enough we could ever do to honour this great man,” said Blue Bomber president Jim Bell. “Tomorrow night will be challenging on many fronts, but we know all of us in the Bomber family, as well as our great fans across this province, will have Coach Harris on their minds throughout the evening.”
Fans can leave a condolence message by signing the Book of Memories at BlueBombers.com.
