Asessippi Ski Area and Resort will host the inaugural Subway Asessippi Folk n’ Fest on Saturday, August 27.
There’s no snow on the hills, but that won’t dampen the mood for those attending the first ever festival north of Russell.
“This is the first time we have hosted a summer concert, with the festival itself being the main attraction,” said Roz Pulo, director of marketing for Asessippi.
Besides the music, there will be face painting, a farmers’ and artisan market, plus great food and beverages at the ski lodge.
Advance tickets are $25 (a $5 saving off gate price), youth (6-17) $15, and preschoolers are free. More details are available at Asessippi.com.
Asessippi is located just west of Inglis, near the Manitoba/Saskatchewan border.
