Two Winnipeg songwriters have made it to #1 in Australia on the country music charts.
Chris Burke-Gaffney and Keith Macpherson collaborated with Australia’s Jetty Road on the song “Serves You Right.” The single is sitting at the top of Australia’s country music chart this week.

The collaboration between Burke-Gaffney, Macpherson and Jetty Road occurred last summer in Winnipeg.
“We originally thought it wasn’t going to work with six songwriters in one room,” Burke-Gaffney said in a release. “However, as a quartet, they’re a talented, focused group and the song came together pretty quickly.”
The single is getting air play in North America, as well. It was put into medium rotation this summer on CMT Canada and was featured on CMT USA’s website, along with being added to dozens of radio stations’ playlists.
