Voting Open for Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards

Online voting is now open for the 6th annual Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards (APCMAs).

The awards show is set to take place in Winnipeg on November 3 and 4 as part of the Manito Ahbee Festival.

The public can vote for the many Aboriginal artists from across Canada and North America who have sent in their submissions. Voting is open until August 18 at 11:59 p.m. CT. Registration to vote on the APCMA website is free.

Once registered, voters can secure their votes in the following categories: Best Country CD, Best Fiddle CD, Best Flute CD, Best Folk/Acoustic CD, Best Hand Drum CD, Best Instrumental CD, Best Peyote CD, Best Pow Wow CD (Contemporary), Best Pow Wow CD (Traditional), Best Rap/Hip Hop CD, Best Rock CD and Single of the Year.

Nominees will be announced August 25.
