A five-week project to install a new water main in St. Vital will snarl traffic along St. Anne’s Road beginning Monday.
The work will take place on St. Anne’s between Rose Avenue and Richfield Avenue to replace 300 metres of water main crossing Bishop Grandin Boulevard.
During the construction, the southbound curb lane on St. Anne’s will be closed to all traffic, with one southbound lane remaining open at all times.
At least one left-turning lane from Bishop Grandin onto northbound and southbound St. Anne’s will be maintained, with intersecting streets and private approaches being maintained as normal. Bus routes will also continue as usual.
The $565,000 project will mostly take place on the west side of St. Anne’s between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday to Friday.
