
‘Smoothie’ and ‘Crunchy’ made the rounds at The Forks on Saturday, August 6, 2011 for the Kraft Peanut Butter Spread the Feeling fundraising initiative. For each hug the bears received, Kraft donated one jar of peanut butter to Winnipeg Harvest. This year's goal was 8,500 hugs locally. Spokesperson Michelle Elmaleh said they have already collected more than 37,000 hugs since July and hope to reach their nationwide goal of 75,000 by the end of this week.
