Winnipeg Rowing Club Wins Big in St. Catharines

The Winnipeg Rowing Club is golden today after placing first at the 129th Royal Canadian Henley Regatta in St. Catharines, Ontario

Kaitlin Rempel and Meghan Montgomery both finished first in their events — Senior Women Single Dash and Mixed LTA Coxed Four, respectively.

The club also competed in a number of races, resulting in second place wins for Sheila Wilson in Masters Women’s Single, and Masters Mixed Double with Vic Bartel.

The Royal Canadian Henley Regatta represents the best in North American rowing. The event has been held in St. Catharines since 1903.
