Peak of the Market is holding its 14th annual Family Fun Day today at its headquarters just north of the airport.
A full day of activities are planned at 1200 King Edward Street, with donations encouraged to provide support for Variety, the Children’s Charity of Manitoba.
From 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., a free potato pancake breakfast will be served with your choice of coffee or hot chocolate. The breakfast will be prepared by Chef Craig Guenther.
At 11 a.m., a free pork-on-a-bun, potato salad, coleslaw and fresh carrot lunch will be offered until 2 p.m.
A free petting zoo with pony rides and tours of Peak of the Market’s packing and distribution centre will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Free public parking is available at Red River College’s west lot. Peak of the Market will have two air conditioned shuttle buses running throughout the day to take visitors to and from their vehicles.
The festivities wrap up at 5 p.m.
