If this weekend’s fine weather doesn’t have you soaking up the rays on a beach somewhere, you can still ogle at women in bikinis, albeit in the parking lot of a local bar.
About 100 girls in bikinis will be holding a car wash at Rock Bar, 1931 Pembina Highway, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday.
The ladies are raising money in support of their unnamed friend, who suffered a severe spinal injury and will now have to get his home retrofitted for wheelchair access.
Tickets have been pre-selling for $10 and nearly 1,000 people have committed to showing up through Facebook.
Those wanting to donate, but don’t have a car or can’t make it out, can still do their part by e-mailing carapryce@hotmail.com.
The rain date for the event is the following day, August 14.
