The Winnipeg Goldeyes have acquired right-handed pitcher Clayton Uyechi.
Uyechi comes from the Maui Strong Warriors of the North American League for a player to be named later.
The 23-year-old posted a 1.65 ERA and 4-1 record in 27 games with Maui this season, and also had three saves. The Hawaii native had a 1.05 ERA and 1-0 record in his first rookie year, along with one save. Over his two years in Maui, he complied 66 strikeouts in 60 innings.
Winnipeg begins a three-game series against the St. Paul Saints tonight at Shaw Park. Game time is 7 p.m.
