Canadian country music stars Emerson Drive will perform a free concert at Clear Lake this weekend.

The group will be in Riding Mountain National Park on Saturday as part of a cross-country tour to celebrate Parks Canada’s centennial.

Emerson Drive was recently nominated for Canadian Country Music Award (CCMA) Group of the Year, while band member David Pichette was nominated for Fiddle Player of the Year.

“We’re inviting visitors to experience the park and celebrate the centennial with us during the concert,” said park superintendent Cheryl Penny. “It’s been a wonderful summer and it’s a great time to be at Riding Mountain.”

The outdoor concert will take place in Wasagaming, next to the main beach at Clear Lake, beginning at 6 p.m. with Trio Bembe and Keith & Renée.

More information on this weekend’s activities at the park can be found online or by calling 1-888-773-8888.
