Local musical duo Keith and Renée are getting set to release their fifth CD next month.
Titled “Best Day,” the pop pair has gone a little bit country with their latest release, which is described as a natural progression of their sound, inspired by their tours in the U.S. and Africa.
The CD’s title track was released to radio in early July and is already receiving spins on country radio stations across the country and on CBC Radio.
“We always try to capture something new to keep our career fresh and interesting,” said Renée Lamoureux. “Going pop/country wasn’t really planned—it was just natural for us to try country. We love to sing about our personal stories. The people we’ve encountered, how they’ve played a role in our lives, what we’ve experienced.”
Best Day will be launched at a CD release party at the West End Cultural Centre on Friday, September 16 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15.
