The Rossbrook House will play home to the sixth season of the popular Jazz on Wheels program on Wednesday, August 31.
The Street Corner Symphony will feature local jazz musicians performing for free at the neighbourhood centre for children, youth, and young adults.
The program helps urban youth discover new creative outlets and to develop a life-long appreciation for jazz.
Jazz on Wheels was created by Steve Kirby, director of jazz studies at the University of Manitoba’s faculty of music. Kirby’s goal was to introduce a unique artistic experience to young people.
The concert will begin at 5 p.m. at 658 Ross Avenue.
