Corn and Apple Festival Taking Over Morden

August 26, 2011 7:01 AM | Entertainment

Prepare for a dose of salty, buttery goodness this weekend as the Morden Corn and Apple Festival is here for another year.

The three-day festival begins day and runs through Sunday about 130 kilometres southwest of Winnipeg.

While the main attraction is the thousands of free cobs of corn being dealt out, the event also includes the famous midway, artisan displays and plenty of entertainment. This year’s headliner is Little River Band.

Festivities begin bright and early this morning with the Girl Guides/ Boy Scout pancake breakfast at Confederation Park, followed by the farmers’ market.

Admission is free. For a list of scheduled events, visit CornAndApple.com.
