Labour Day Operating Hours — What’s Open and Closed?

September long weekend operating hours for City of Winnipeg facilities and services is as follows on Monday, September 5:

Recycling/Garbage Schedule
Single-family homes
There will be no recycling or garbage collection on Monday, September 5. Collection will resume on Tuesday, September 6 — Day 2 on the five-day cycle. Recycling and garbage collection at multi-family apartments will continue as normally scheduled.

Brady Road Landfill will be open Monday from 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Libraries
Closed Monday, September 5.

Animal Services Agency
Closed Monday, September 5.

Leisure Centres
All Leisure Centres are closed on Monday, September 5.

Golf Courses
Regular hours of operation are in effect at all municipal golf courses. For more information, including how to book a tee time, visit Winnipeg.ca/ppd/golf.stm.

Pools
All indoor pools are closed on Monday, September 5 except Pan Am Pool which will open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Weather permitting, the following four outdoor pools will be open on Saturday, September 3, Sunday, September 4 and Monday, September 5: Freight House, Kildonan Park, Fort Garry Lion’s and Westdale. Hours vary by location.

The following wading pools will be open Monday, September 5: Amherst Park, Brock Cordova Park, Bronx Park, Central Park, Dakota Park, J.H. Bruns Park, John Steele Park, Keenleyside Park, Machray Park, Norquay Community Centre, Pascoe Park, Pirates Park, Roblin Park Community Centre, McKittrick Park, Shaughnessy Park, Vimy Ridge Park. Hours vary, however, most are open 11:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Spray Pads
Six unsupervised spray pads are open over the long weekend, at the following locations: Fort Rouge Park, Lindenwoods Community Centre, Provencher Park, River Heights Community Centre, St. Norbert Community Centre and River East Spray Pad. Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Winnipeg Transit
Monday, September 5, Winnipeg Transit will operate on a Sunday schedule.

Cemeteries
Cemetery grounds will be open for visitation from dawn to dusk throughout the long weekend at Brookside, St. Vital and Transcona cemeteries. Offices will be closed Monday, September 5.
