Six adults were rescued on Stephens Lake after their boat capsized on Monday near Gillam, Manitoba.
RCMP say the incident happened at about 3 p.m. when the boat took on water due to heavy winds and waves up to six feet high.
An aerial search was executed to locate the boaters, while a RCMP boat also assisted from the water.
A family of four and two other adults were treated at Gilliam Hospital and later released.
Police say the fact that everyone on board was wearing a lifejacket was critical to their survival.
Alcohol is not considered a factor.
