It was a successful weekend on the links for the University of Manitoba men’s golf team during a two-day tournament in Moorhead, Minnesota.

The Bisons captured the team title at the 2011 Concordia Invitational at Village Green Golf Course. The Bisons secured their place with an overall score of 572 (282-290) and -4 on the Par 72 course — good enough for a new Bison team record for lowest score.

Bison Josh Wytinck won the individual title after firing a 139 score (69-70) for -5 final result and a three stroke victory.

The team title was the 15th overall for the men’s team since the program began in 1999 and was also the first men’s team title in four seasons (won twice in 2007).

The Bisons will now head to Ham Lake, MN for the Augsburg Invite held at the Majestic Oaks Golf Course from September 10-11.
