Elmhurst Road will be closed to northbound and southbound traffic this morning beginning at 9 a.m.
The closure is to accommodate railway crossing reconstruction between Wilkes Avenue and Ridgewood Avenue.
During the closure, motorists will still have access to Elmhurst south of Ridgewood.
The roadway will reopen completely on Friday, September 9 at 6 a.m.
