Public Forum in Brandon to Engage Citizens in Election

September 12, 2011 7:30 AM | News

To help get more Manitobans engaged in the upcoming provincial election on October 4, the University of Manitoba will hold a public forum tonight to address the so-called “democratic deficit.”

The forum at Vincent Massey High School in Brandon will be attended by three political experts, who will talk about several topics relating to the election. Andrea Rounce (University of Manitoba), Chris Adams (Probe Research), and Reg Alcock (University of Manitoba) will discuss what you need to know about public opinion polls and how they impact Manitoba elections.

The forum will begin at 7 p.m.

Admission to this event is free, and it is part of the U2011 Café Politique series.
