Manitoba’s three main political party leaders will begin another full week of campaigning today leading up to the October 4 election.
After a weekend of campaigning in Northern Manitoba, NDP leader Greg Selinger and Progressive Conservative leader Hugh McFadyen will be in Winnipeg today, as will Liberal leader Jon Gerrard.
All three will take part in the CJOB 68 radio debate from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., while only McFadyen and Gerrard will later be in the Downdown BIZ leaders debate at Portage Place mall from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Selinger will make an infrastructure announcement on the Fisher River Cree Nation.
The only other policy announcement on today’s schedule comes from the NDP, who will focus on bettering the city’s downtown during a noon-hour news conference at the Winnipeg Convention Centre.
