A 53-year-old Ste. Anne man was killed Monday evening in a fatal workplace accident near Blumenort, Manitoba.
RCMP say the man was dumping a load of gravel from a dump truck at the time, when the truck rolled forward and ran him over. The accident happened at about 6 p.m. in the RM of Hanover.
The man was the only person operating the dump truck, police say. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
RCMP and Manitoba Workplace Health and Safety continue to investigate.
The man’s name isn’t being released.
