Manitoba’s NDP will provide the Grace Hospital with a new MRI machine if re-elected on October 4.
Premier Greg Selinger said Friday the hospital would be expanded, building on a new ACCESS Centre and emergency room currently under construction.
The MRI — at a cost of $6.5 million — will help the hospital to provide more than 2,000 scans per year, reducing patient wait times for the procedure.
“Health care is our top priority, as it is for Manitobans,” Selinger said. “This MRI will mean faster access to advanced diagnostic tests for families in west Winnipeg and across the city.”
