Winnipeg Harvest is on a mission to raise $1 million by November 30 and has the help of a generous donor to help them reach their goal.
From now until the end of November, an anonymous Winnipeg philanthropist will match each dollar donated to the food bank up to $500,000.
“This individual has given us a tremendous gift with this pledge of support. We are pleased to build on relationships that give opportunities and hope,” said executive director David Northcott.
Last year, there was a 21% increase of people using the food bank including children, seniors, refugees, immigrants, the working poor, and others.
Donations can be made by calling (204) 982-3581 or at WinnipegHarvest.org.
