September 28, 2011 7:15 AM | News

Winnipeg Harvest will unveil its “Share Your Thanks” grocery bag today that will be sent out to 120,000 households in Winnipeg.

The 25th annual food drive is the largest of the year for Harvest and encourages the public to fill the bags with non-perishable food items. Once filled, the bags can be dropped off any Safeway location.

With Thanksgiving and the holiday season approaching, Winnipeg Harvest is working to increase its food intake and appealing to the public to do so.

Harvest’s executive director, David Northcott, as well as food bank volunteers, will unveil the bag at the Canada Safeway in Osborne Village at 10:30 a.m.
