A locally-produced documentary looking at the Winnipeg Jets will premiere on Sunday.
“White Noise” looks at the past, present and future of Winnipeg’s NHL franchise, and will be made available free to MTS TV customers via on-demand service.
“We started making this documentary in February, several months before the return of the Jets was announced,” said the film’s producer Jeff Newman. “It wasn’t supposed to be a story about the Jets coming back — that just happened, and we were there to follow it. It was supposed to be about a community that wouldn’t give up the idea that its team would come back.”
“White Noise” will also be shown as part of Culture Days 2011 at a free, family-friendly screening on Saturday at 8 p.m. The big screen premiere will be shown in the courtyard of 201 Portage Avenue.
