Blue Bombers, Alouettes in Battle for Top Spot in the East

September 30, 2011 9:12 AM | Sports

Heading to the Blue Bomber game tonight? Feeling a little charitable as well?

Prior to kickoff against the Montreal Alouettes, the Public Service Alliance of Canada will be collecting school supply items in support of children’s education in the inner-city.

Also being collected will be Bras for a Cause, where new and used bras can be donated to raise awareness of breast cancer.

Fans attending Canad Inns Stadium can also learn more about the upcoming Richard Harris Pay It Forward Social, set for October 29 at Assiniboia Downs. An information booth will be located outside the stadium with further details.

During halftime, more than 500 people will take part in a choreographed performance to promote Culture Days, a three-day cross-country event this weekend highlighting the many cultures Canadians share.

Tickets are still available through Ticketmaster for the temporary seating area. Game time is 6:30 p.m.

Watch for our post-game report to follow.
