The city will close the southbound lanes of Gateway Road between Jim Smith Drive and Sun Valley Drive on Saturday morning.
The closure at 5 a.m. will be in effect until Tuesday, October 4 at 6 a.m. for median and curb construction, grading and landscaping. The asphalt overlay of the Sun Valley/Gateway intersection will also be carried out at this time.
Access to the sidewalk and multi-use path along Gateway Road will be maintained for pedestrians and cyclists.
Motorists are reminded to allow additional travel time and to use alternate routes such as Henderson Highway and Lagimodiere Boulevard.
Winnipeg Transit routes will not be affected during the closure.
